About Jacob Gan
Jacob Gan, Ph.D. (Michigan) is currently teaching in a university as a full-time associate professor.
He has been teaching for the last 23 years. Prior to that he was in the government service for 3
years and worked in a private corporation for 6 years. He received his education in three different
countries - Malaysia, Singapore and USA and had worked in four different countries - Malaysia,
Singapore, Saudi Arabia and USA.
Dr Jacob Gan has been active and serving in various scientific, business and social communities. In
addition to having great passions for learning and teaching, he is also passionate about life.
Dr Jacob Gan is happily married with five children - one of whom is working as an engineering
manager involved in internet security research for the government, one is a corporate lawyer in a
major international law firm and the other three are students. He has a very active and friendly
grandson too. Another grandson has just been born.
